How is it that love can see you through the hardest of times? Lukas didn't know the answer to that, but just accepted it for what it was. Annelie will need reassurance that he is allowed to love her, a challenge he is definitely up to.
SUMMARY: (taken from the author's site)
Annelie fell for Lukas the moment he walked into her pub three years ago. He’s stunning, his vivid green eyes lending to his otherworldly beauty, but he’s seriously out of her league. When he tells her that she’s beautiful and confesses that he wants her, she can’t resist him and his passionate kiss. She unleashes her desire and seizes the moment and Lukas with both hands. But Lukas has a secret, one that will test Annelie’s love for him and threaten to tear them apart.
Lukas was looking worse for wear.
This was one vivid plot full of steaming romance that pulled me right into the embrace of love! This story was a great addition to the Her Angel Series. The romance carried the secondary plot threads with ease, allowing the story to flow smoothly. I found myself amazed with all the detail that went into the world building. The mystery and suspense behind who framed Lukas fit perfectly with bringing together the hero and heroine. And let's not forget meeting up with Apollyon and Serenity. Their help in saving Lukas really upped the story's effect, giving you a sense of camaraderie between the Angels. Fallen or not. A lesson to be learned, I believe.
Her Fallen Angel starts out in London, then shifts to Paris with a side trip to the pit of Hell. Very interesting indeed.
True to her style, Felicity Heaton has delivered another great story. She is great at building tension while showing the tenderness love affords. She has a ease about her writing that makes your surroundings drop away. Quiet honestly, you just want to keep turning the pages.
Lukas is a strong character determined to prove his innocence. While he is a less dominate character than Apollyon in Her Dark Angel, he holds his own. He is passionate for his mortal lover, willing to go to any length to prove his loves for Annelie. A trait that pulls at your heart strings for sure. Annelie is a great match for Lukas. She shows her own strengths in accepting Lukas for what he is and standing by him when he needs her the most. This is a quality in a woman -or man for that matter- that is always noticed. You can't help but cheer for them both and love when they accept each other.
The Her Angel series is only getting better with each book. I enjoyed Her Fallen Angel just as much as Her Dark Angel. The romance that burns between Lukas and Annelie is a mixture of steamy and sensual. Demanding high scores for making you want your very own Angel! For being a novella, Ms. Heaton told one hell of a story! (no pun intended ;-))
WHO IS FELICITY HEATON:
A keen reader of fantasy, horror and classic novels since a young child, I began my first story, a gothic horror, at age fourteen. School work quickly intervened to put an end to a budding writing career, but in 2003 I turned my hand to writing again and haven't even stopped to breathe since.
Ms. Heaton will be by for a guest spot on the 27th of November to share her story with us on writing and why she chose Angels for her new paranormal romance series. Please mark your calendars ladies and gents, because she is giving away one set of her Her Angel Series to a lucky commenter! Don't want to miss it...
