Blog Hoppin' It Around! (28)

Book Blogger Hop

IF YOU ARE A NEW FOLLOWER PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
I WILL RETURN THE FAVOR!
This is my thirtieth blog hop hosted by Crazy-For-Books and Parajunkee's View  whoohoo!!!!
Join in on the fun or click here to visit book bloggers to meet new friends, discover great books and just have some fun!

This weeks questions for Crazy-For-Books:
Q. What's the one genre you wish you could get into, but you just can't?
A. Steampunk. I just can't find the intrigue in it at all. I also have a hard time getting into fantasy. Yet, I love Star Trek, Urban Fantasy, and Paranormal Romance.

This weeks question for Parajunkee's:

Q. Name three authors you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?
A. ACK! Three! My first choice would be Virna dePaul. She has been one of the most helpful and giving people I have met. She has taken time out of her overly busy schedule for me and any question or concern I may have in my writing journey and you can definitely add to that her over whelming kindness! I would love to share a meal with her and enjoy her company. My second choice would be Jeaniene Frost for her ability to craft such well written PNR books. To be able to pick her brain would be AWESOME! My Third choice is a double because I'm a rebel like that!;-)  over the past year I have made some great author friends and two of those friends are Roz Lee and Em Petrova. They have helped me, believed in me, and guided me when I needed it most. And one day I hope to share a meal with them and finish the bond of friendship started by a simple hello one day on Facebook.

Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to read your answers!

  2. Aww it's too bad you can't get into steampunk, it's a lot of fun although I can see how it's definitely not for everyone. The corsets though ^.~

  9. I'm glad you've had the opportunity to develop a relationship with a couple authors that way and hope you do get to do "lunch" with one or both. That would be fun!

  12. Until recently, I hadn't tried Steampunk, either, but so many people recommended Gail Carriger's "Soulless" that I started wout with that one - LOVED it; have read Changeless and Blamless and have Heartles son my to-buy list.

I also read Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan and Behemoth ... and a couple of other steampunk books .. they were bleh for me (other than The Girl in the Steel Corset, which I also loved), but I'll try some Cherie Priest next.
