Vampires Realm with F. E. Heaton

Vampires are sexy. They’re dark, mysterious, and dangerous. The ultimate bad boys. The ones who send our hearts racing and adrenaline pumping. Of course, that isn't to say that their furry counterparts can’t be just as devastatingly handsome. The alpha werewolf is a force to be reckoned with. Rugged, rough, and commanding, he’s a man who will bend the heroine to his will and claim her for his own.

That’s the sort of vampire and werewolf that I love to write. I don’t apologise for how brutal or dangerous they can be. Vampires and werewolves are killers. They’re top of the food chain and they know it. I always stay true to their nature, although I like to change a few aspects of them in each of my stories to spice things up a little. I don’t do redemption or the non-human blood drinking vampire. I want to read about vampires and werewolves who are deadly, and of course, dead sexy, so I write that sort of hero and heroine so others can read about them too.

A vampire who refuses to drink human blood, to embrace their nature, is a real turn off to me. We’re attracted to the myth of the vampire because of their bloodlust and their powers, and their desire to sink those luscious fangs into our lovely necks. Without those things, they’re just not as interesting.

Each of my stand alone stories has a different take on vampires and werewolves. I have vampires with powers, and those without. Vampires who are born and age, and those who are turned and don’t. I love to toy with the myth and make them unique. The purest of my vampires are those in my Vampires Realm series.

Vampires Realm is a work of passion for me. I love to world build and I’ve spent a long time thinking about the way the series will work, and the world it’s set in, and the type of creatures who inhabit it. The series is set in Europe, and follows vampires of the seven ancient pure bloodlines. Each bloodline rules a different city, although there is conflict in St. Petersburg and Prague as two vampire bloodlines reside in both of those. There are laws governing the bloodlines, and Law Keepers who deal with any who break them. There are hunters who would like to eradicate the pure bloods, but they’re not strong enough to fight such superior creatures, and often end up fighting weaker mixed blood vampires that infest the continent. A fight with a pure blood would end pretty quickly. These are the elite. They’re powerful, deadly, and unafraid of hunting human prey. They live in their own world. A world within our world. They rarely interact with humans, and keep to themselves, living in near-harmony with us without our knowledge of their existence. Their interest lies in governing their people and continuing their existence, and they have laid down strict laws to ensure this happens.

There are werewolves in the series too. Although most of them are slaves kept in compounds by the pure blood vampire families, there are those who have escaped and have struck out on their own. There are even those who have gathered other werewolves to them and created a stronghold for their kind, a place where they can live without fear of the vampires.

It’s a dark world, one full of threats as the hunters begin to advance themselves through genetic manipulation, becoming dangerous to the pure bloodlines. It’s a world on the edge, full of conflict between the bloodlines, and prophecies that threaten to destroy everything. But it’s also a world where love grows, regardless of the laws that forbid certain relationships, and where heroes and heroines do incredible acts of bravery to protect both vampire kind and humankind. It’s a world that I love to write and explore, to bring to life in the imagination of the reader, and to share with them, and I hope that you will enjoy it too.

The Vampires Realm series currently encompasses nine stories, the most recent of which is out now. There are six novels, including a trilogy, two novellas (one of which is free), and a free short story. My most recent release, Hunter’s Moon, is a werewolf/vampire romance and is set outside the usual setting of Europe, instead focusing on remote Canada as the location.

I’m writing another novella for release this year, and then a novel or two for release in 2012. I have also written a few short stories based on the Vampires Realm series and characters for my A Day in the Life series, which is a series of free short e-books where I catch up with characters after their novels. For more information about the Vampires Realm series, including excerpts of the stories, the free stories, and information about the characters, please visit the official series website: http://www.vampiresrealm.com
If you would like to read more about my other paranormal romances, including my series about gorgeous angels and a duo of books about one hell of a sexy black panther shapeshifter, and also my free A Day in the Life series, then check out my author website: http://www.felicityheaton.co.uk

Hunter’s Moon
Having witnessed vampires slaughtering his werewolf pack during their escape from the horror of the compound where they had been held captive, Nicolae’s hatred of the species burns deep in his veins. A century has passed since that night and the months in which he travelled to the Canadian wilderness to escape it, but the nightmarish visions and his failure as an alpha still haunt him, forcing him to live alone and keep his distance from other werewolves.

When a night hunt with the local timber wolf pack leads to a run-in with unfamiliar hunters, Nicolae tracks the scent of blood permeating the forest to an injured woman and races to save her, but has he made a terrible mistake in doing so? When she attacks him, revealing her true nature, he can’t believe his eyes or the fact that he can’t bring himself to kill her. She’s beautiful, and a vampire.

Tatyana is on a mission. Far from home and bearing a heart filled with grief, she’s intent on killing the hunters she’s tracking, but her plan didn’t include being shot with poisoned arrows. When she comes to in the presence of a glowering handsome male werewolf, she isn’t sure what to expect. His dark demeanour and cold tone warn her that he isn’t like the subservient werewolves she’s used to, and that she might not be out of danger yet, but she doesn’t let it discourage her. Working with him to discover why the hunters have come to Canada, she attempts to shatter his antiquated opinion of vampires, but the closer she gets to him, the harder it becomes to battle the forbidden hunger he stirs in her.

Will Nicolae be able to overcome the darkness in his heart and his memories, and embrace his desire for a vampire? Can Tatyana face her fear about the Law Keepers and risk her heart and her life for the sake of forbidden love? When they discover what the hunters are after, will they be able to stop them before it’s too late?

Biography
Felicity Heaton is a romance author writing as both Felicity Heaton and F E Heaton. She is passionate about penning paranormal tales full of vampires, witches, werewolves, angels and shape-shifters, and has been interested in all things preternatural and fantastical since she was just a child. Her other passion is science-fiction and she likes nothing more than to immerse herself in a whole new universe and the amazing species therein. She used to while away days at school and college dreaming of vampires, werewolves and witches, or being lost in space, and used to while away evenings watching movies about them or reading gothic horror stories, science-fiction and romances.

Having tried her hand at various romance genres, it was only natural for her to turn her focus back to the paranormal, fantasy and science-fiction worlds she enjoys so much. She loves to write seductive, sexy and strong vampires, werewolves, witches, angels and alien species. The worlds she often dreams up for them are vicious, dark and dangerous, reflecting aspects of the heroines and heroes, but her characters also love deeply, laugh, cry and feel every emotion as keenly as anyone does. She makes no excuses for the darkness surrounding them, especially the paranormal creatures, and says that this is their world. She's just honoured to write down their adventures.

Vampires, Do They Really Exist? Or Just Legend and Folklore

They are one of the so called creatures of the night. The have always held a vivid spot in our imaginations, but none so much as The Vampires. Do they really exist?

Whether you write paranormal romance novels and spend hours in your research or an avid reader of the mystical, we all know that vampires are as old as time.

We find them everywhere, movies, art, books and even in the real world. Their stories and history have always been associated with the folklore and legends of the vampires. Now please keep in mind that by vampires, I am not referring to Dracula or some individual who claims he's a 500 year old. As far as I'm concerned, though feared for centuries, the undead vampire has never existed, left to only live through our writing fantasies no matter the genre.

Throughout the years, we've seen reports of blood motivated killings. Where these murders committed by vampires who really didn't understand their true calling? Or, where they carried out by unstable people who in their minds thought they were vampires, that a voice in their head ordered the murders. Most of the time, these killings were motivated by factors other than vampirism. So can vampires or vampire communities really be blamed for those crimes? No, of course not. (Though it does make for good writing material)

In books we describe them as red eyes with pale-ish white skin and foul smelling breath. Or, in our romance novels, as the devilishly handsome creature of the night. Both of these features are the most recognized images of a vampire worldwide, but do vampires really exist? Are they more than just what our novels make them out to be?

Nowadays, we often hear people speak of 'real life vampires' and 'modern day vampires'. Many describe these people as 'gothic' or "punkers", but are these individuals real vampires? Many believe they are. And as a paranormal romance author myself, I can't deny that this just fascinates me.

So let's take a look at what a modern day vampire is.

There is what people consider to be the 'gothic'. Most of us know these 'vampires' as actual blood feeders, but realistically, they aren't out on a feeding rampage and more often than not, only require very few ounces of blood to satisfy their special thirst. To many this practice is frowned on and looked upon as the works of evil.
This leads us to the actual drinking of blood, which - and let me add this here - not all 'modern day vampires' do, but I'll get to that in a minute. These vampires - who drink blood - are called blood feeders or Sanguinarians within the vampire world. By drinking blood a vampire capture the life force from within us known as "chi". A vampire does not drink blood to just to prove anything. According to the modern day vampire, blood drinking is very different and sacred. For them blood drinking is an inborn desire, a hunger satisfied only by that same desire.

Then there's what is called the "PSI" or Psychic Vampires. These are the non blood drinkers, but still they need their dose of "chi" which they acquire in various psychic forms. Just think for a moment, have you ever felt like you were drained of all energies after talking or standing in front of a person for quite a while? Well... what a naughty vampire!

So when viewed in this light, vampires do exist. Much to our amazement they are people much like you and I, but with very special needs and equal special abilities. Fangs aren't much of a fashion grabber for today's modern vampire though. Looks aren't everything either, but today you can't really say who's who just by their looks. According to researchers, both of these 'gothic' or 'modern day vampires' grow old slower than the average person, especially if they are well nourished.

In closing, one can conclude that vampires are people who lack the ability to produce that special force of life. That energy and substance that powers life. When interviewed, many 'gothics' are adamant about being responsible when practicing their blood drinking. At least most of the time, most blood feeders have their own donors. These donors can be from close friends to their own partners. I guess when you think about it, drinking someone's blood other than your own would make much more sense. When it comes to blood drinking, to a vampire that is a very sensitive matter. The risks of infections are everywhere. Something to be very conscience about.

So do vampires really exist? In today's world, yes indeed, but they are far from what the media or writers have instilled in our minds. Vampires are people who, in most ways, are just like you and I. So, if you ever find yourself suddenly tired or fatigued, look around you, you might have just experienced a psychic bite.

Since I am a paranormal writer by heart I have a tendency to love the fictional vampire I write about. The pull to the darker side of the romance genre is hard to resist! SUMMARY:(blurb taken from author's site)
A nasty bite starts a whirlwind of doom―one soul turns toward the darkness while one heart battles to deny destiny.

Nexi Jones can never catch a break. With only just returning from a much needed vacation—a deadly Werewolf attack takes place in Plymouth, Minnesota.  In pursuit for answers, Nexi finds herself face-to-face with someone she desperately wanted to avoid, Magnus, the Lord of the Underworld. He hasn’t forgotten her and will stop at nothing to use her magical abilities for his personal gain.
Soon, Nexi will be in a battle far worse than conjuring Magic against those of the Underworld. The fiercest battle rages within her as her soul combats against her heart to decide Nexi’s fate. Will all that matters—will everyone she loves—be lost forever?

FIRST LINE:
The warm water wrapped around me in a total sense of relaxation as I leaned back into my antique claw-foot bathtub.

FAVORITE LINE:
“I will eternally feel overjoyed that I have been granted the right to share in your life.”

PLOT:
Three books into the series and I still love the story. Hands down, this book is my favorite so far in the series. Nexi has grown into a woman that understands and has accepted the responsibilities placed on her. Deeper connections have formed and hearts scarred, however Nexi has become a woman all the stronger for it. Speaking of heart ache, while it is no novelty to her, Nexi goes to great lengths to insure those around her do not suffer the same hurt she has. The depth of caring she has for others is touching which brought me closer to her, making me care all the more for her outcome.
I love when a story shows a strength between the heroine and hero that is based on more than the mere sex. While the hot love is almost tangible between Nexi and Kyden, the depth of affection they share for one another burns bright throughout the book. It's all about the romance, right.
A surprise plot twist, riddled with high emotions and suspense, left me flipping pages at a finger breaking speed. Ms. Kennedy has written another great addition to the Magical Sword series that has carried Nexi into unchartered territories. Each new addition to the series ups the ante, forces the heroine to step outside her comfort zone, pushes her boundaries, and teaches her to trust those around her. Nexi's journey has become for me, more interesting with each book.
As for the overall plot, Ms. Kennedy has done a great job carrying over the story arc to each new book. While  resolving one issue for the heroine, Ms. Kennedy continues to provide exciting plot twits and questions to unravel. She concludes each book with a satisfactory ending for the characters, but leaves space for the story to continue on in the next book.

SETTING:
The Devil's Kiss Takes place in several locations. From Nexi's home in the Otherworld to the Patriarch of the werewolves property in Utah. Then the story moves to the Underworld where devilishly handsome Magnus applies his wicked charm on Nexi, leading her to possibly find a different destiny than what she sees for herself. I have to admit, I almost crossed over myself. But that is all I will say. I won't ruin the surprise for you!

WRITING:
Ms. Kennedy has a very unique way of telling her stories. She cuts to the action, delivering all the juicy banter between the characters and keeps the story moving. While I love her fresh new way of approaching paranormal romance, this fast paced writing style did leave me wanting a little more on a couple of occasions. At times I felt there could have been a deeper point of view into Nexi's feelings and mind set. That said, the author did use the heroine's actions to show how she felt towards what was going on around her.

CHARACTERS:
In The Devil's Kiss we get to see more of Nexi's growth than in the two previous books. Not only does she discover and hone phenomenal witch powers, she also discovers more about herself. She is faced with so many hurdles to over come, both emotionally and physically, that by the end of the book I was drained. It would take a person built of inner strength and will to stand up and face the obstacles thrown at Nexi. As I read, I wondered how she'd react to each situation that she was placed in. I wondered how her moral code would show her inner character. As I progressed, page after page, I was not let down. I'm not sure I would have been able to make the final choice that she had to make though. Magnus was just to good - bad yes - but definitely good too. I am fighting to hold back all the exciting details Magnus brings to the plot. I will say this, the dark lord of the Underworld had a charm about him that almost captured my heart...almost.
Since it's safer to talk about Kyden, let's switch to Nexi's love interest. Although the story is not in his point of view, we get a clear picture of his character by his protective nature for his love, his rage at not being able to care for her with every step she takes, and most importantly the battle he wages to claim her as his heart and soul. This books is filled with just that - heart and soul. From Nexi to Kyden and yes, Magnus, the emotions run high for sure.

LAST THOUGHTS:
Stacey Kennedy has rewritten the rules to telling a darn good story. She's grabbed my attention and I want more. I've said it in all my reviews for this series, The Magical Sword series is a must read. Her unique voice is fresh and addictive in many ways. Once you start you have to finish. I am diving into the fourth book, First and Last, ready to see where Nexi's story will take me next.

WHO IS AUTHOR STACEY KENNEDY:
I love the paranormal romance/urban fantasy genre and love a series more!! Nothing can hook me in more than an adventure and one that keeps on going. I love a page turner, one where I’m up at a ridiculous time and my eyes burn because I can’t stop reading. Witty characters, dominant men, danger, action, romance and hot sex―oh my!
My novels are lighthearted fantasy, heart squeezing, thigh-clenching romance, and even give a good chuckle every now and again.  I’m not a planner.  I don’t write with a set idea because no matter what I plan, the characters’ voices always come through and demand I listen to them. So, I gave up trying to fight it!

I Bought It – Why Can’t I Share It?

This morning I'd like to share with you a note my dear friend Dolores Maroney (aka author Roz Lee) wrote on the whys behind why we should not share e-books. She's not talking about the little LEND ME button often found on Kindle books or Nook Book though. She's talking about e-book piracy. The one thing that could force authors out of a job if it is left to continue as is. So without further ado, please read the below note, pass on to friends and spread the word. And yes, your comments are very welcomed!;-)

The world is changing, and along with it, my bookshelf. One upon a time, I bought real books. You know the ones—they’re made of paper and you hold them in your hand and actually have to turn the pages. When you’ve read them, they gather dust on your shelves; take up space in drawers and in boxes in the garage and attic because you can’t bring yourself to part with them.
Now I have one of those fancy electronic books. I click a few keys, and before I can find my reading glasses, a dozen new books appear on my virtual bookshelf. I can carry my entire library on vacation with me. I can add to my collection from anywhere, whether I’m at the beach or riding in the car. It’s a miracle. It’s technology.
It’s also the bane of every author’s existence.
EBook Piracy undermines the existence of the publishing industry. Readers download their favorite titles, and then share them with the world, and see nothing wrong with doing so. I’ve had a hard time understanding why it’s wrong too, but bear with me for a few minutes and I think I can explain.
There are two parts to a book. The first part is the physical book. Its sheets of paper bound together. The other part is the CONTENT. That’s the ideas, the story printed on the pages. The Book is what you purchased, the paper and the binding. The CONTENT belongs to the person who owns the copyright. Nine times out of ten, this is the author.
Back when, you went to the bookstore and came home with a book you could hold in your hand. You read the book, and you liked it so much you wanted to share it. You handed the book to a friend or relative to read. You no longer have possession of that book. There is still only the one copy you purchased, whether you gave it away or loaned it. You have not separated the CONTENT from the BOOK. You have done nothing wrong.
Now, let’s consider another scenario. You bought the book and brought it home. You read it. You loved it. You wanted to share it with everyone you know. You take it to work and use the copy machine to run off one, or two dozen, copies and give them away. You have violated the author’s copyright. You have copied the CONTENT of the BOOK. You may give away or loan the paper and binding, but the CONTENT is a separate entity and belongs to the author.
So now, you’ve moved into the modern world and purchased an eReader. You went online and purchased an electronic book (eBook). What you downloaded to your eReader is the CONTENT of the book. If you give or loan your eReader to someone else, and allow them to read the book you purchased, you have done nothing wrong, the same as loaning the paper and binding type book. The CONTENT you purchased the right to read is still in the electronic device you used to read it.
Scenario #2. You download an electronic book to your eReader or computer. You want to share it with one, or a million people you know, because it’s the best book you’ve ever read. You copy the file (CONTENT), attach it to an email and send it to everyone on your contact list, or to just your best friend. It doesn’t matter if it’s one copy, or ten million. It’s still copyright infringement. You have separated the CONTENT from the delivery method – in this case, and electronic device of some sort.
Why is it copyright infringement? Because you have copied the CONTENT of a book and given it away without the consent of the person who owns the copyright (the author), nor has the copyright owner received payment for the use of the material they spent countless hours creating. It’s the same as if you’d taken a physical book and made copies on the office copy machine. It’s just infinitely easier, and faster. And if you can do it, what’s to stop the people you sent it to from doing it too? Nothing.
This is what authors are up against today. Too many people believe that the intellectual work of another should be given away for free. Let me give you a simple example. Let’s say you invent a really great gadget. It’s something everyone needs, or at least, everyone wants. You’ve put in countless hours thinking about it, drawing sketches, making prototypes, testing, perfecting, until it’s the best-darned gadget it can be. You spend your life savings having some professionally made, and you invest in a marketing plan to sell them. People buy them. You are ecstatic! You’ve made a difference in the world. People will know your name!
A few weeks after your initial success, you see that everyone in the world now has one of your gadgets, only you have not sold that many gadgets. Someone else has made these and given them away to everyone on the planet. Now, no one is going to buy yours. You will never be able to reap the profits you deserve for all the time and intellectual talent you put into the concept and creation of your gadget.
Sucks, doesn’t it?
What if you went to work every day for a week, a month, a year, several years? You put in long hours on the job thinking you would be paid when the task was satisfactorily completed. Only when you complete the task, someone takes the fruit of your labor, gives it away, and tells you thanks for all the hard work, it’s really top notch work, but I don’t want pay you. Oh, and by the way, could you do that again please? I really loved the first one!
Yeah, that sucks too.
Let me assure you, very few authors are getting rich from their book sales, whether they are physical books or eBooks. Even in an eBook, there are a lot of middle-men who get their share of the proceeds first. Still, money earned is how society measures success, and authors are no different than anyone else in that respect. A lot goes into writing a book. They don’t just spring out of our heads and then miraculously get published. Like every other worker out there, we want to be paid for our labors, and the way we do that is by selling books.

Facebook - The New Office Water Cooler

I am thrilled to have a good friend back on Bookin' It today. Please help me welcome author Roz Lee. She's here to talk about her debut release The Lust Boat and its sequel Show Me the Ropes that comes out March first. Today she has chosen to share her wisdom on a writers newest gathering spot. Very telling of our inner workings when you think about it. Roz is also generously giving away winners choice of either her debut release The Lust Boat or upon its release on March 1st, Show Me The Ropes. Check back Sunday morning to see who has won! You know the ropes, leave a comment and don't forget to leave your email addy to enter the drawing on Sunday.

Good Morning Roz! Take it away....

Originally invented to purify water by lowering the temperature enough to kill microorganisms, the office water cooler has become a metaphor for the place where co-workers gather to chitchat and gossip. No matter where you work, be it an office, factory, shop or store, chances are your place of employment has its own version of the water cooler. It might be as elaborate as a cafeteria or as simple as a coffeemaker or the cliché water cooler, complete with upside down five-gallon jug.

Once upon a time, I worked in a place like that, but now I spend my days mostly alone, sitting at my computer with a lazy black Lab for company. Betty Boop doesn’t mind if I talk to her, sometimes she even looks like she’s listening, especially if treats are involved. Don’t get me wrong, she’s good company, and if it wasn’t for her, and her inner clock, I probably wouldn’t remember to get up and move every few hours. Writers are prone to all kinds of maladies that stem from sitting in one place too long with their fingers to a keyboard. I admit, some of that time is spent staring at a blank screen, but that reason enough to get up and do something different.

However, as solitary as my work is, I’m not alone. Since the emergence of the PC, more and more people work from their homes. I can’t speak for people with other jobs, but writers tend to be okay with being alone, sometimes to the point of being downright weird. Of all the workers out there, writers are the most in need of a water cooler. We need a place to hang out, a place to interact with other human beings. We need that time away from the blank screen, or if we’re fortunate, the steady stream of words flowing from our over active imaginations to the keyboard.

I suppose we could go to the mailbox and hang around, but that’s sort of hit and miss with the human interaction. Going somewhere like the mall is a big no-no. Not only would we be spending money we don’t have, but it takes time, lots of it. What we need is a water cooler. A quick, refreshing break, and then back to the grindstone, I mean keyboard! Oops!

Enter Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook. Yep, Facebook- the new Office Water Cooler. Facebook provides us with a quick, refreshing break, a chance to interact with real humans, not the ones in our heads. We can get the latest gossip among our friends and, in my case, fellow hermit like writers. We can get the latest industry news, as well as a peek at what’s happening in the world outside our writing cave. The only thing missing is the burp and gurgle of that upended five-gallon water bottle.

The problem with Facebook, just like the physical office water cooler, is knowing when to throw the pointy paper cup in the trash and get back to work. In an office environment, there’s always someone to give you the evil eye or flat out tell you to haul your sorry you-know-what back to your chair and do some work. However, when you are both boss and employee, it’s all too easy to let that five-minute break stretch to fifteen minutes, or heaven forbid, an hour.

I admit I’m addicted to the cold drink of water Facebook provides. It’s my window on the world. My societal interconnect. Some days I’m able to walk away after a quick diversion, but others, I find myself with my elbow propped on top of the water bottle, eagerly chatting with whoever happens to walk by. An unlike the real water cooler, the jug never runs dry. You never have to heave another jug on top—the refreshing bits just keep popping up, an endless supply!

It’s time for me to get back to work. *throws pointy paper cup in wastebasket* I’d love to hear about your water cooler. Is it the old-fashioned kind, or high-tech like mine? THE LUST BOAT – A Night Owl Reviews Top Pick

When her fiancé called off the wedding and told her he’d had better sex with a blow up doll, Candace traded in her honeymoon cruise for a week on the Lothario, the most notorious ship to ever sail the high seas. Little does she know that Ryan, the sexy passenger who offered to be her escort as she samples all the ship has to offer, is really Ryan Callahan, the ship’s playboy owner.
Ryan Callahan is single, rich, and considered quite the catch. Two years ago he and his business partner launched the Lothario, a floating den of iniquity where passengers can indulge their every sexual fantasy, but since the ship docked following its maiden cruise, Ryan has been so scarce he’s earned the nickname, Monk, until sweet, naïve Candace coaxes him out of his tower, heats his blood, and steals his heart. But will she still want him when she finds out who he really is?
SHOW ME THE ROPES –
Available March 1st from Red Sage Publishing
He’s going to hell. Not that he’s any stranger to the place. For two years Richard Wolfe has lived in a self-imposed hell in order to prove his devotion to the woman he loves. When Dr. Fallon Enright asks for an early release from her contract with the Lothario, Richard knows his time has run out. Desperate to keep her onboard, he stoops to an all-time low, even for him.

Fallon knew it wouldn’t be easy to walk away from the Lothario, and the man she loves, but she never dreamed Richard would stoop to blackmail to keep her onboard. Worse, instead of leveling charges of sexual harassment, she’d agreed to his asinine plan. For the next week, she would submit to Richard, in all things. The possibilities sent a shiver down her spine.

About Roz Lee-

Roz Lee has been married to her best friend, and high school sweetheart, for over three decades. These days she splits her time between their home in rural New Jersey, and Southern California, where her husband works. Even though she’s lived on both coasts, her heart lies in between, in Texas. A Texan by birth, she can trace her family back to the Republic of Texas. With roots that deep, she says, “You can’t ever really leave.”

Roz and her husband have two grown daughters they couldn’t be more proud of, and are currently raising a ten-year-old Labrador Retriever, Betty Boop, who isn’t aware of her canine heritage.

When Roz isn’t writing, she’s reading, or traipsing around the country on one adventure or another. No trip is too small, no tourist trap too cheesy, and no road unworthy of traveling.

This Weeks Question From Crazy-For-Books:

If you are a fan of Science Fiction what is your favorite book? If you haven't read Science Fiction before...any inkling to? Anything catch your eye?

I don't read science fiction. I know that sounds weird coming from a Star Trek fan, but beyond that show, it is hard for me to read science fiction. How about you? I'd love to hear what draws you to this genre or if you are like me and prefer other genres.

Until Next Time...Happy Reading!
