Welcome, Ms. Lin!

Five Reasons to Love Colin from Giving It Up
By Amber Lin
Thank you so much for having me on Bookin’ It Reviews. I’m so pleased to be here, celebrating the release of my debut erotic romance novel, Giving It Up. I really adore my hero from, and I think you’ll love him too—here’s why, in handy dandy list format!

1. Colin is a do-er, not a talker
Colin is the kind of guy who gets things done. He protects the heroine, especially when a guy at the club tries to hurt her. He takes care of her, when she needs legal advice in order to keep her daughter safe. He doesn’t quite tell her how he feels, at least not for a long while, but he shows her.

2. Colin is patient
You only have to read the blurb of Giving It Up to know that the heroine Allie has issues. She’s been hurt in her past. Another guy might cut and run, or just expect her to get over it, but Colin is there for her. When she needs to talk… or not talk. When she needs to cry, or not cry. Colin wants to be her rock.

3. Colin is a tortured hero
I admit it—I have a soft spot for tortured heroes. It’s just so endearing and heartbreaking the way they hide their pain, covering it up with layers of gruffness. And then to watch the heroine peel back those layers… sigh. Gets me every time J

4. Colin’s great with his tongue
What? What? LOL, this is an erotic romance, after all. It’s all about priorities, but I can assure you he knows what he’s doing. He’ll demonstrate in the very first chapter, if you’d like ;-)

5. Colin is a bit of a bad boy
Okay, I’ve talked about all the ways Colin is a great guy, and he is! But he’s also got a dark side. He has a criminal past, working with his brother, and unfortunately it’s not completely in his past either. In fact, it may be Allie who saves him, in the end…

So, are you intrigued yet? Well, keep reading, because I’ve got more Colin on the way…

I groaned in frustration. “What’s wrong?”
He reached down, still breathing heavily, and pressed a finger lightly to my cunt, then stroked upward through the moisture. I gasped, rocking my hips to follow his finger.
“You like this,” he said.
Yes, I liked it. I was undeniably aroused but too aware. I needed the emptiness of being taken. “I like it better rough.”
Colin frowned. My eyes widened at the ferocity of his expression.
In one smooth motion I said. “I need it harder.”

In one smooth motion he flipped me onto my stomach. I lost my breath from the surprise and impact. His left hand slid under my body between my legs and cupped me. His right hand fisted in my hair, pulling my head back. His erection throbbed beside my ass in promise. I wanted to beg him to fuck me, but all I could do was gasp. He didn’t need to be told, though, and ground against me, using my hair as a handle.
That small pain on my scalp was perfection, sharp and sweet. Numbness spread through me, as did relief.
The pain dimmed. My arousal did too, but that was okay. I was only vaguely aware of him continuing to work my body from behind.
I went somewhere else in my mind. I’d stay that way all night.
At least that’s what usually happened.
