Guest Author & Giveaway Featuring Author Kellie Kamryn

Welcome Bookies! ;)

Please help me extend a warm welcome to author Kellie Kamryn! She's joining us here today to share her love of a good book and to celebrate three release with fabulous excerpts to give us a good taste of each title. AND Ms. Kamryn is offering up a fabulous giveaway so make sure check that out below in her guest post.

Welcome, Ms. Kamryn! It's great to have you here!

There’s nothing like a good book, no matter where you are – waiting at the doctor’s office, listening to the waves crashing on the beach, or snuggling under the covers. My book of choice has always been romance. Even my Nancy Drew’s back in the day had an element of romance. I can’t be the only one who loved her budding relationship with Ned!

I’m always surprised when people say to me, I don’t read much anymore. *insert needle scratch sound here* How can people not read? I prefer reading to watching television because my imagination is far better than anything on TV. I’m always pleased when a friend or stranger says my book has intrigued them enough to pick it up. I’m tickled pink when they tell me they’re actually going to read it!

Reading is big in our house. My oldest began reading at the age of four, not because we forced her to, but because she just wanted to learn. (Helps to have a mom who reads books every night before bed.) All of my kids love to read, and I hope they never stop. I do remember a brief period when I was raising babies that reading took a back seat. But I always felt like something was missing and was glad when I could take the time out to read. It was so relaxing! In our busy lives, it’s great to sit back and relax with a good back no matter the genre. I prefer happy endings which is why most of my book choices are romance!

Books can take us to new worlds, meet people we’ve never seen, and bring us back to the time when we used our imagination on a regular basis. With all the reality TV and negativity in the world, escaping with a book can help us feel better, and give us a sense of satisfaction when it all works out in the end. As an author, I like to think I provide a bit of hope in someone’s dreary day. I know a good book can pick me up any time!

So, tell me – why do you read? Do you encourage others to read? Leave me a comment and I will send you a signed paperback copy of The Perfect Score or Rebound or pdf if you prefer. Thanks for having me as a guest on the blog!

Back of the Book:
An award-winning choreographer must face the only man she's ever loved then lost when they are teamed up to work together at a gymnastics camp for Olympic hopefuls.
Claire LeMay is at the top of her game - she's head of a prominent gymnastics facility with her gymnasts winning awards for her outstanding choreography. Now her biggest challenge is to coach alongside the man she's avoided for three years after he demanded she live in his shadow instead of forging her own path.
After sinking every penny of his inheritance into his state-of-the-art gymnastics facility, Justin Black has achieved his dream. But even with hundreds of members and well-trained coaches, when Claire's presence invades his space, he reluctantly admits she's the one thing missing in his life. As their old passion tumbles out faster than a gymnast sprinting down the vault runway, Justin knows he can’t let her walk out of his life this time.
Are they destined to repeat the same old routine or will they be able to choreograph a new one?

The Perfect Score

Back of the Book:
The new head coach has barely gotten her beams in alignment when she's threatened with a lawsuit by a father for refusing to train his brat of a daughter.
Shelley Longstaff finally has her chance to be in charge only to rue the day when she is asked to train the dreaded Anna Fortier, a gymnast who has no sense of sportsmanship and makes everyone in her vicinity miserable. When Shelley refuses, she's threatened with a lawsuit by her father. To make things worse, Shelley has an inexplicable attraction to the arrogant rich lawyer!
Since his wife's death five years ago, Jacques (Jack) Fortier does whatever it takes to protect what is his. Shelley's club is his last resort to keep his daughter in the sport, but threatening to sue her isn't exactly his smartest move. When she grudgingly agrees to give Anna a chance, he finds himself attracted to the spritely gymnastics coach - the first woman he's had any feelings for since his wife passed away.
As Shelley and Jack leap over the line in their parent-coach relationship, Shelley worries over falling in love with a man who admittedly still loves his late wife. But when a crisis of teenage proportions threatens their relationship, will they risk everything for the chance to achieve The Perfect Score?

  5. Fantastic! Thanks for stopping by :)

  6. I fell into reading as a child. I come from a family that devours books. Reading is as essential as breathing I think. If I love a book I will tell the world & insist they read it.

  7. That's awesome, Mary :) I'm much the same way with reading to my kids and if I love a book, I want the world to know!

  8. I love to read for the escapism of it, and I have discovered that even if I am reading fiction books, by own writing (in terms of grammar, etc.) gets better because I am more familiar with how things ought to look if I am reading a lot

I try to get my young cousins to read, but apparently the reading thing isn't genetic.

    Thanks for having the giveaway!
