BOOK BLURB:
As florist and co-owner of a successful Chicago wedding planning business, Daphne Lovell has been there for the happiest days of other people’s lives. As for her own life? Well, it’s hard to be perfectly happy when you’re carrying a torch for your sexy, womanizing and oblivious best friend. So when the lights go out on New Year’s Eve, she seizes the opportunity to kiss him senseless.
British expat Gibson Moore has a lot on his plate. The hotel he manages is being bought out, his family is crazy and someone just kissed him in the dark. When the lights go on, he searches the room, trying to find the mystery pair of lips. Only, he never thinks to ask the woman standing by his side. He’s shocked when he discovers that Daphne is the woman he’s been searching for. But Gib’s also eager to act upon the attraction for her he’s always fought to ignore.
It takes trust to move from friends to lovers, and as Gib’s work situation worsens, he is no longer sure he can risk the friendship he relies on most. It’s up to Daphne to convince him that some things are worth fighting for…

FIVE STARS FOR FRIENDS TO LOVERS!

Hands down one of the best contemporary romances I've read this year! Friends to Lovers is a fun heart warming, feel good read that left me feeling completely satisfied. Christi Barth is a favored author and has quickly become an auto-buy author because of her continuous ability to deliver a story that always connects with me.

In Friends To Lovers we are introduced to Daphne Lovell, a florist and half owner in the Aisle Bound Chicago based wedding consultant company, and Gibson Moore, a smooth talking ladies man with a sexy-as-sin British accent that flows right off the page and into the heart. Both couldn't be more different yet Daphne can't hep but carry a secret torch for her friend.

The story opens with a mystery kiss between Daphne and Gibson as they welcome in the New Years at a client's wedding. When the lights go out at the stroke of midnight Daphne seizes the moment but Gibson is left in the dark after the lights come back on as to who his kisser was. Convinced his mystery kisser is the one he will marry, Gibson sets out trying to find her.

As the story progresses circumstances arise that force Gibson and Daphne closer to one another through a very unique activity that had me laughing out loud and flipping pages quickly just to see how everything turned out. i loved reading as Daphne and Gibson's friendship grew stronger while their hearts move beyond that sole connection and into something so much deeper. It was not without hitting a few stumbling blocks along the way though. This is where we get to see the real strength of friendship, support those relationships offer and above all the strength of real true love. It's not all mushy though. Both are witty and share such great banter that keeps the story alive and moving right along.

Ms. Barth has a wonder talent for writing romance that reels you into her stories with such ease that you never want to leave. Her Aisle Bound series is a delightful balance of romance and sexy fun. I recommend not only Friends to Lovers but her entire series to all that enjoy connecting with heart warming romance stories that touch leave you smiling for days.
